Animation Major at CSU-Fullerton

@omers_art_page

I haven’t been working on my film for a while due to midterms and other projects, here is a shot I did commissioned by the Fullerton Motor Group as the winner of October’s Car Of The Month. I enjoyed messing around with lighting effects that helped this still drawing look a bit more 3 dimensional, and I animated at 48 frames per second so it would look smoother. Very fun!

An animated shot of a car driving on the freeway. While this was a piece I did for CSU Fullerton’s Motor Group, it is also a test for any future shots of animated car driving. I’m looking to improve making the car more animated in terms of bumps in the road, and possibly some special lighting effects.

I’ve roughly animated every interior scene containing Cory, except for the one where he says “weightless” because that is the only one that requires no other animation besides lip sync, which I will save for after I trace over my car scenes and replace the final drift placeholder with a new drift animation.

This is the story following the Night Before The Race animatic. Cory’s coach, Luca, tells him the story of The Dragon; The Spirit of High Speed Cornering, and how it jumped over a gap in the road, straight over a ravine. How does Cory use this information?

This is an unfinished animatic I created for a plot in my Street Stage universe, The Night Before the Race. Cory (featured here with his previous design) trains for a race against a new challenger, while uncovering oddities of his coach’s identity. The storyboard for the sequence that follows after this animatic is in the next post.

Here is a screenshot of my scene progress chart, with partially filled out dates of particular milestones as they apply today. Excited to continue working on this project!
